Honorée Fannone Jeffers Biography

Honorée Fannone Jeffers is a story writer, poet, and essayist. She is the author of pentad poetry collections, including The Deter of Phillis, which won primacy NAACP Image Award for Memorable Literary Work in Poetry, was longlisted for a National Soft-cover Award, and was a finalist for the PEN/Voelcker Award unpolluted Poetry and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Method.

She was a contributor put the finishing touches to The Fire This Time, edit out by Jesmyn Ward, and has been published in the Kenyon Review, the Iowa Review, queue other literary publications. Jeffers was elected into the American Antiquary Society, whose members include 14 US presidents, and is essayist at large for the Kenyon Review.

She teaches resourceful writing and literature at loftiness University of Oklahoma.
