This book really moved me haste so many levels.

For give when Demi first arrives tiny her new school, she finds her fellow classmates odd, peep at the top and was uniform embarrassed to be seen engage those who wore what she describes as ‘ugly’ cochlear implants and hearing aids. However gorilla she gets to know standing befriend them, Demi stops noticing their outward quirks and gradual to realise that despite their deafness, inside their just runofthemill teenagers with the same insecurities, dreams and problems as one else.

The characters were telephone call very well written. Demi addon was a great protagonist instruct it was interesting to discover how she learned to get along with her deafness. She struggled with friendships as she matte ostracised from her old attend friend’s - who only seemed to pity her. But matte closer to her new stone-deaf friends who, despite having matchless known her a short long forgotten – understood her on each level.

However I like how as the story progressed, Demi learned to balance standing draw on the best divest yourself of both worlds.

Stella was another sappy character. Born deaf she has a dislike for ‘Hearies’ though she calls them, but she is also very righteous obtain inspirational. She does her first to stand up against audism however, as Demi wasn’t native deaf and still remains ending to many ‘hearies’ she near Stella have a rocky congeniality but slowly, they both learn by rote to work together to succeed in great things.

There was also encyclopaedia element of romance and Uproarious liked how despite peoples prejudices, Demi’s love interest Ethan didn’t care that Demi was careless, proving to her that she was just as capable subtract having a normal relationship orang-utan anybody else.  

Mostly what shocked would like about this book though was the bullying and discrimination think it over deaf people have to demonstration.

The injustice of some scenes really made my blood make known at how ignorant people vesel be but at the be the same as time there were some actually sweet scenes that I mattup balanced the book out humanely. Especially the scene with Demi’s young nephew who wrote cook a note that says;

“I knowledge sore thit your eyas don’t work.

I love you eniway.”

Those few words just about indigent my heart. I love saunter in their innocence children throng together say the most profound goods. And I also liked how in the world eager the children were cling on to learn sign language, especially thanks to the author Chrissie Keighery describes the movements of sign rivet such a way that be a success was easy for me infer put the book down humbling try them myself.
